Mindfulness is “openly experiencing what is there.” It is about having, as full as possible, awareness of what is around us – what we can see, hear, touch and taste, and what is happening inside – our physical sensations, thoughts and feelings.
It is about observing, without getting caught up in our thinking or worrying about what we are experiencing, thus giving us more choice over what we decide to give our attention to.

A day to nurture self-awareness, self-knowledge, kindness and generosity,

Working with the Wisdom of our Dreams

Saturday 11th June, 10am – 5pm
Venue: The Red Gates, Corofin, Co. Clare

An experiential workshop with Kathleen Duffy.

This very popular workshop invites participants to experience the amazing wisdom of Dreams as a powerful source of Guidance from the Soul.

It offers practical experience of how to make sense of the unconscious wisdom we
often dismiss through lack of understanding of this ancient dream language.

‘For God does speak to us, now one way, now another, though man may not perceive it,
in a dream, in a vision of the night when deep sleep falls on men as they slumber in their
beds, he opens their ears and gives them instruction’. Job 33: 14-16

Participants will gain an understanding of the psyche and its functioning, as well as an
opportunity to explore the irrational nature of the dream in bringing unconscious content
to consciousness.

Kathleen will also;
• Introduce you to the language of the dream, which is that of symbol, myth, ritual, imagination and story.
• Explore some of the major Archetypes of the psyche.
• Teach you how to discern when to take dream wisdom literally or symbolically.
• Work with why we have recurring dreams, and what happens when we ignore them and they turn into nightmares.
• Examine the difference between personal and universal symbols.
• Show you how to befriend the unconscious, and listen to, record, and work with dream wisdom in order to benefit from this guidance in everyday life.

Kathleen Duffy is an accredited Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapist and supervisor who has a passion for working with the use of dreams in her practice for over twenty five years. She has recently had her book published on this subject. It is titled Awaken to the Wisdom of your Dreams – Mirrors in the River.

For further information you can see her web page at www.awakentoyourdreams.com
Cost for the day €60 which includes two tea/coffee breaks, and a wholesome lunch from the wonderful catering team hosts at Red Gates.

Deepening the Senses – A Journey Inward

Venue: The Red Gates, Killeen, Corofin, Co Clare.
29th July – 31st July 2016

An Experiential Workshop/Retreat with Eileen Ni Shuilleabháin Counsellor & Psychotherapist.

To be sensual, is to respect and rejoice in the force of life, of life itself, and to be present in all that one does, from the effort of loving to the breaking of bread – James Baldwin.

For more info or to make a booking visit www.teallach.com or contact Eileen on 087 7126271.

This is an experiential weekend where you are invited to join us in a workshop where we will awaken a more grounded authentic connectedness to ourselves and bring conscious awareness in our bodies to our presence in the world. Through the realm of myth, dreams and archetypes we will deepen into the senses, drawing on our connection to the wisdom of the ancient landscape around us, attuning to our own inner journeying, appreciating in our subtle bodies the richness of the present moment in our lives.

When we listen to myths, if we let ourselves step into their world of poetry and imagination, we step out of the rational concrete patriarchal world of our time and into the symbolic life. In this way we become receptive to our inner environment, and the energies of life and the archetypal patterns living through us.

During the retreat we will spend time indoors and outdoors exploring that sensory embodied connection. We will also be utilising the medium of poetry and images, gentle mindful movements, art, meditation, and dream imaging, exploring the language of our dreams and their symbols in our psyches to assist us. On our last evening after our féasta (n.celtic feast) we will gather at the hearth or if the weather permits us, under the stars at a bonfire, for the ancient tradition of our ancestors – sharing songs and poetry, music, story telling and conversations. We aim to create a warm atmosphere where we will awaken the senses, deepen our understanding of ourselves and explore the sensual in our everyday lives.

The Retreat Package:
The package includes 2 nights bed and breakfast in shared twin room luxury accommodation, 2 evening meals (2 courses), 2 lunches (2 courses), break time snacks, teas and coffees, the workshop and exclusive use of sauna and outdoor hot tub.

The package price below is based on shared spacious twin room accommodation. There is one triple room available. There is limited private accommodation available at an additional cost. Please enquire about availability upon booking.

Booking:
The full 2-day retreat package costs 300 euro – a non-refundable deposit of 100 euro is payable by 30th June 2016. Early booking is advisable as places are limited.
